Dean of Instruction
Brad Kisner began his design career in Rockford, Illinois in the early nineties after graduating from Northern Illinois University with a BFA in Visual Communications.
After moving to Chicago in 1993 to attend graduate school at The University of Illinois at Chicago, where he received a MFA in Graphic Design, Brad began working for Image By Design as a designer of retail signing. While working at IBD, his interest in design education led him to The International Academy of Design and Technology, where he was an adjunct professor in their Visual Communication program for 9 years.
Brad joined the Visual Marketing Group at Ambrosi and Associates in 2000 as a Senior Art Director where he worked on such accounts as Sears, The Great Indoors, Sunbeam and Kmart. He left Ambrosi in 2005 to join Wilson Sporting Goods Team Division as a Senior Designer of product graphics and packaging.
Brad started the CD department at Harrington in April of 2006, and launched the graphic design BFA program in the fall of 2006. He proudly collaborated with the CD faculty to write and launch the MFA and MA programs in CD in the summer of 2011. He became the Dean of Instruction in September 2013.
Brad's other passion in life is the theatre (performing and directing), and he has brought his design sensibilities to the directing of numerous musicals in the north and south suburbs of Chicago.
