Harrington College of Design Student Named Finalist in Ravinia Poster Design Competition

January 6, 2012 Awards & Competitions, Graphic & Comm. Design, Interior Design 0 Comments

Congratulations to Harrington graphic design student Shannon Markert!

Shannon’s poster was one of three designs chosen by the Ravinia Festival Women’s Board from among more than 120 student entries as a finalist in Ravinia's annual Poster Design competition. Each year, the winning poster’s imagery becomes the distinctive trademark for Ravinia and is used widely for promotion and commercial display.

Ravinia is a popular Chicagoland music venue renowned for its outstanding selection of concerts that guests can listen to on the lawn or within covered concert halls. Shannon’s design was inspired by the Ravinia audience, featuring a cool green background overlaid by stylized figures.

The poster contest just closed on Friday, Jan. 6, and the winner will be announced soon – best of luck to Shannon!  See her work and check out the other final contenders here:
