How can I meet with the Career Services Department?

I don’t live in the Chicago area. How can I find out about jobs there?

Career Services reviews sources and calls employers to locate possible job openings. Job openings can also be found in online classified ads from Chicago-area papers, such as the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times and Chicago Reader.

What are HotJobs?

They’re non-design job openings that Career Services has identified to help students meet their financial responsibilities. The HotJobs list is available from anyone in the Career Services Department and on the HotJobs boards on the 3rd and 4th floors.

What kinds of jobs might be included in the HotJobs?

Job listings typically include office/clerical, retail, customer service, restaurant and stocker/package handler.

Do I need a resume to apply?

In most cases, yes, but not all the time. It’s a good idea to have one ready.
